A note from Kalinklo Operations

The work of booking artists still happens across inboxes and PDFs, while the relationships that matter most belong to the agencies, artists, and presenters who have built them over decades. Kalinklo does not replace those relationships. It gives the people inside them a private operating system so the work has a record, the contracts have a home, and the season can be planned years ahead.

Roster

Keeps the directory of artists, agencies, and presenters in good order. Decides what is visible, what is verified, and what is searchable.

Engagements

Carries every request from first signal to signed contract. The lifecycle — request, hold, quote, contract — audited at every step.

Settlements

Reconciles invoices, settlements, platform fees, and payment records. The books close in this office.

Disputes & records

Disputes, cancellations, refunds, and the line between internal note and client-visible message. Where the platform stops and people decide. Kalinklo records the process; it does not provide legal advice.

How we run the platform

The relationship belongs to the people in it

We charge for software — proposals, e-sign, deposits, approvals, reporting — not for a percentage of your relationships. BYO deals are cheaper than marketplace-sourced.

Verification before discovery

Listings are hidden from public search until identity and right-to-act are confirmed. Presenters never find an artist they cannot actually engage today.

Audit on every move

Every transition writes to the audit log. Both sides of an engagement see the same numbers on the same row.

Human approval before commitment

No message, contract, invoice, settlement, or counterparty-facing artefact moves without a person confirming the exact action. The approval itself is audited.

A verified public folio, availability windows, request-hold links, repertoire — and on paid tiers, the full proposal-to-settlement workflow.

Roster, inbox, hold calendar, contract templates, and branded client portal where configured. Keep your roster; keep your commissions.

Presenters

Season planner, structured booking requests, shared audit trail with the artist's representation, and emergency replacement support when something goes wrong.

Orchestras & institutions

Multi-season Orchestra Season Desk, conductor + soloist pipelines, approval chains, budget tracking, and a procurement record the board can read.

Boundaries

What we are not

Defining the boundary is as honest as defining the product.

We are not a casting marketplace

Kalinklo is not Sonicbids or GigSalad. We are built for orchestral and concert music — the engagements that take months to plan and live for years on a season programme.

We do not force public profiles

The market norm is discretion — Askonas Holt, IMG Artists, Intermusica and the agencies they compete with never publish a roster. Kalinklo offers four visibility levels (public · private listing · stealth · workspace-private). Represented artists default to private listing, not public.

We do not replace agents

If an artist has representation, requests route through the agent. We work alongside agencies, not around them — and branded client portal configuration lets them keep the public-facing relationship.

We do not custody money by default

By default we record obligations and settlements; money moves bank-to-bank or via your existing processor. Custodial paths require a separate contract.

We will not auto-publish unverified listings

An unverified workspace can file requests but cannot be found by public search. Verification is light but unforgeable.
